Born on December 30, 1975, in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Professional Experience

Since September 2022, he has been serving as the Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations (New York)

From December 2016 to February 2022, he served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States of America in Washington, D.C.

From 2014 to 2016, he held the position of State Minister of Georgia for Euro-Atlantic Integration.

From 2012 to 2014, he served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Serbia.

From 2008 to 2012, he held the positions of Senior Counselor and Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Finland.

From 2005 to 2008, he served as Head of the First European Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

From 2002 to 2005, he worked as Counselor and Deputy Permanent Representative at the Permanent Mission of Georgia to the United Nations Office in Geneva and to other international organizations.

From 1997 to 2002, he served as a Counselor at the National Security Council of Georgia, responsible for information and analysis (1997-1999), human rights (1999-2001), and relations with law enforcement agencies (2001-2002).

From 1996 to 1997, he worked in the Press Service of the Administration of the President of Georgia.

Education

David Bakradze graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, specializing in International Economic Relations (1997) and Law (2001). 

He speaks Georgian, English, and Russian.
